Locate Provisioning Centers throughout Michigan
After the enactment of the Michigan Medical Marijuana Act, many dispensaries started doing business throughout Michigan. This continued for over two years until a Michigan judge deemed the dispensaries to be a public nuisance. Sometime later, legislation was brought through, under House Bill No. 4271. In this bill, we no longer saw the word dispensary. The new term that we saw was “provisioning center”.
House Bill 4271 did not pass the senate legislators. However new bills have already been presented and will most likely be brought to the voters of Michigan once again hopefully until they are passed.
Some existing medical marijuana facilities conduct business under the name of the dispensary. However most dispensaries opened since 2013 are most likely to call themselves a provisioning center.
